Millfield Care Home has become the newest addition to Qualia Care’s growing portfolio of quality homes.
The 91-bed facility in the Greater Manchester town of Heywood is Qualia Care’s ninth operational care home, and was registered with health watchdog the Care Quality Commission (CQC) on October 10th.
Millfield provides a diverse range of kind and considerate person-centred care, including residential, residential dementia, nursing, palliative and convalescence care.
A young physically disabled unit delivers specialist facilities and care, with expert 24-hour care also available for people with Huntington’s and Parkinson’s disease.
Qualia Care managing director, Phil Whitaker says: “We’re delighted to welcome manager Lance Tipper and all of the staff at Millfield into the Qualia Care family.
“Millfield has a strong reputation for the high standards of care it delivers and we will be supporting the team at Millfield to maintain and, where possible, enhance the quality of care for residents.”
Qualia Care chief executive officer, Robin Forster adds: “Our mission at Qualia Care is to grow our portfolio of homes sustainably by acquiring high-quality care facilities like Millfield, which will meet the growing demand for quality social care in Greater Manchester.”
Millfield is a modern and attractive redbrick home that is divided into four ‘houses’, surrounded by beautiful landscaped gardens with comfortable seating areas, raised flowerbeds and a tranquil sensory garden.
The home has 91 clean, comfortable and well-appointed en suite rooms, many of which have lovely garden views, while some on the ground floor have patio windows.
The home is situated in a friendly residential area of Heywood, a former mill town that is nine miles to the north of Manchester city centre and close to the neighbouring towns of Rochdale and Bury.
It is on a local bus route, is close to local amenities and is easily accessible by car, with the M66 and M62 motorways both close by.
Millfield is Qualia Care’s third care home in Greater Manchester, joining Downshaw Lodge Care Home in Ashton-under-Lyne and St Mary’s Nursing Home in Moston.
