Day trip delight for Sandycroft residents

Sandycroft residents took a short trip down the coast for a fabulous day out in Southport.

Two of our gents enjoyed the attractions of the popular neighbouring coastal resort, including a fun hall of mirrors.

There was also time for a tour on the famous Southport Pier – the oldest iron pier in the country, and the second longest at 3,635ft.

Some of our ladies also had a great day down on the farm with a visit to Old Holly Farm in Garstang, Lancashire.

A member of staff at Sandycroft has risen to a fundraising challenge from residents!

Staff member Colette Carthy was nominated by one of our residents to do a sponsored bike ride to raise money for residents’ equipment.

Manager Jane Lyth says: “The gauntlet had been laid down to Colette at a residents’ meeting and I’m pleased to say that she rose to the challenge!”

Sandycroft residents already enjoy using the home’s Play Your Cards Right game and karaoke machine.
